This washed Grade 1 coffee is produced by approximately 1,841 smallholder farmers organized under the Layo Teraga Coffee Producers Cooperative in the Uraga Woreda of Guji Zone, Ethiopia. Each farmer cultivates about half a hectare of coffee in garden plots around their homes. The region was historically part of Yirgacheffe but has developed a distinct microclimate that produces unique cup profiles. The high altitude (2,342 MASL) and washed processing method result in a bright, clean cup with complex fruit and floral characteristics. This coffee is highly sought after in specialty markets for its distinctive flavor profile and excellent quality. Suitable for light to medium roast profiles to preserve delicate floral and fruit notes.
